MP attends passing out parade for Marine Cadets

Tony talking to Cadet Laura Parker

Tony attended the passing out parade of the Winterton 901 Troop Marine Cadets at Martham. The event was attended by over 300 guests along with many proud parents and saw the troops marching in their full ceremonial “blues” and pith helmets.

The cadets entertained the spectators with music, an awards presentation, an arms drill and a recognisance demonstration using armoured cars. Among the special guests were high ranking members and ex-members of the Armed forces.

Tony said:

‘It’s fantastic to be here and see the passing out parade of what are some fine cadets. It was a joy to watch the demonstrations and hear the music and I want to congratulate them all on a fantastic performance.

‘It is credit to all involved that groups such as this exist and provide excellent activities for our young citizens. The youngsters are a credit to the Borough and I also want to thank the volunteering adults who give their time freely and willingly to make events such as this a possibility.’
